About Yolanda:Dubbed “goofy and toothy” by the Amsterdam News, YOLANDA KAE WILKINSON is a graduate of Hampton University. She is an AEA/AFTRA actor and Dramatists’ Guild Member that has performed at The Public Theatre, Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, Joe’s Pub, The Lobby, The Flea, 45 Bleeker Street Theatre, MCC Theatre, and Primary Stages.


She has toured many Colleges and Universities across the country. She toured with The Morrigan in 2000 and 2001. She was the 2001 VH-1 Slam Champion and 2002 MTV Slam Finalist. She was on The Union Square 2000 Slam Team that placed 4th in the Nation, and the Manhattan 1999 Slam Team. Her show UNTITLED & UNFINISHED was last seen in The VOICES FROM THE EDGE FESTIVAL, THE DOWNTOWN URBAN THEATRE FESTIVAL, THE ROAR THEATRE FESTIVAL, THE LOS ANGELES WOMEN’S THEATRE FESTIVAL, the Directors’ Company CRAPSHOOT THEATRE FESTIVAL and The US COMEDY ARTS FESTIVAL ASPEN 2004 www.hbocomedyfestival.com She will be airing on The Peabody Award Winning, Russell Simmons’ HBO Def Poetry Jam, August 8 2004 (seasons 3 & 4).


She can be seen in the HBO film INFAMOUS/UNDEFEATED directed by and starring John Leguizamo. Her trilogy of one acts, MYTHOLOGY, made its debut at the Nuyorican Theatre in January and then moved on to a SMOKIN’ WORD studio presentation at The Manhattan Theatre Club in February. She is a co-writer and artist in HISTORY OF THE WORD, www.historyoftheword.com premiering at Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick in October 2004, directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Trained by the Chicago based NEO-FUTURISTS, she has been given license to apply one of her patterns in life to art, to bend, blend, tear it up, and start again. ‘Keep it fresh and push the envelope”.
